The hotel is in a great location facing out on to a quiet square with lots of restaurants nearby. The staff are super friendly, very helpful and professional - everywhere, at reception, in the breakfast room, in the restaurant. The quality of food is very good - we had two excellent breakfasts and dinners.

We didn't have breakfast. We went to a neighbourhood cafe. Very friendly, helpful Reception staff. Very comfortable. Excellent location. Nice coffee machine in room as well as kettle.

Getting ready for my dream wedding in Grand Universe in Lucca was a breathtaking experience. Not only is the place stunning, the staff made me feel super comfortable on my special day. They always were on their best interest to assist me and my guests. I will definetly recommend to anyone that is visiting Lucca to stay at Grand Universe Lucca!

Staff were excellent throughout, really friendly on welcoming, always attentive and available. Breakfast and bar facilities top class. Location perfect. We were upgraded to a lovely room which was nice too. The upgraded room was really very nice. Huge comfortable bed, separate seating area and an enormous bathroom.

I liked absolutely everything about the property. The elegance of the old building has been kept, but it has been updated in an extremely stylish and comfortable way. Location is also tiptop.
